Its structure consists of a base, a shrapnel, and a key cap, with all components working together to ensure stable operation. The base, as the basic support, is usually made of high-temperature resistant plastic material, which can adapt to temperature changes when electronic devices are working; the shrapnel is mostly made of copper alloy, which has good conductivity and elasticity, ensuring the sensitivity of circuit on-off; the key cap can be made of materials such as ABS or silicone, which affects the tactile feel when pressed. The packaging forms are divided into Surface Mount Device (SMD) and Dual In-line Package (DIP), adapting to various PCB board installation requirements. The thickness of the SMD type can be as low as 0.5mm, suitable for micro devices such as smart watches and Bluetooth headsets; the pin length of the DIP type is 5-10mm, which is more suitable for traditional circuit designs such as home appliance control panels.

Key performance parameters directly affect the user experience: a stroke of 0.15-0.4mm determines the pressing feedback force. Too short a stroke may lead to unobvious operation, while too long a stroke will increase the difficulty of operation; operating force of 100-350gf is suitable for different scenario needs. For example, electronic toys used by children may choose models with smaller operating force, while switches on industrial equipment need larger operating force to prevent misoperation; service life of 500,000-1,000,000 times ensures long-term stable operation, and this indicator enables it to meet the service life requirements of most electronic devices. Special models achieve IP67 waterproof rating through silicone sealing rings, which can cope with humid environments such as kitchens and bathrooms, and can work normally even when splashed with water.
